London – Deptford, the birds nest – 20th June
We set off around 6, driving in london is a piss take! lucky we all have stupid immature senses of hurmor, shouting at people in other cars is always fun and it passed the time nicely.
After load in everyone went to eat whilst me and joey stuck around and got drunk.
We met one of our crazy fans who was more excited then what we were. love it!
We played with Captain of the Rant & Freedom Faction.
The set went alright, got cut short so we didnt get to play HIV Barbie.
The energy was there as usual. spitting, throwing beer and rolling around on the floor. The stage was soo small, there was deffo no room for me.
After the boys packed up the barmaid put Horrorpops on and gave me some free shots, fuck yeah! It only sucks that Tim was driving as he is my usual drunk partner!
We have our tshirts on sale now £7, the are killer. Our Cambridge gig 24th June got cancelled due to some bullshit band’s. – we will play there 19th July.
- Lauraaaaah!
What a funny experience. We left hitchin at around 3pm yesterday and everyone was looking forward to it. the drive up there was fine, jus’ chillin, listenin to a bit of system until we couldn’t find the venue lol. we asked a few people, but eventually we asked a dude in this random tattoo parlour and he knew where it was. After baffling about we found it but there was noone inside so we couldn’t get all of our stuff inside as we were warey of leaving the truck with all our equipment. in the end we just left it and went to a pub down the road for a few pints then someone appeared at the venue, we put our stuff in a started talking to the other bands. We were playing with Your Last Winter, and one other band which i cant remember the name of. anyway, we had loads of time to kill so just got pissed, had sound check then went on about 12. the gig went well, apart from my snare drum stand epically failing on me in the first song so i had to play the snare notes on the tom which didn’t sound good netiher look good lol. After that, we played a pretty fluid set and enjoyed it. loppy had lost her voice that day aswell but we still managed to kill it and we gave it loads of energy. after we played, we were happy with our performance and had a few more drinks watched the last band then decided to go. after going, we didn’t see that the M6 onto the M1 was completley jam packed. couldn’t move. only one lane was eventually open. all of this was due of? some faggot putting out cones.. ravishing. anyway, joe got his payback by tim for falling asleep. roflrofl. and on the way back, we were discussing how you could write off a car with somthing in your hand and in eye, cooking and barbequing a deer we saw and how amie freaked out when we actually hit a pigeon, was pretty halarious.

other bands soundcheck

then we soundchecked

last few pints before the set

And we played

We set off this morning with a little sun and rain and caught the train around 3. Got the train to kings cross, and after a 30 minute faff of where to go and tim trying to show us where to go and going to the complete wrong place we found the bus we needed. We got on the first bus, which was fine, hardly any people space to move etc apart from a rude faggot coming down the stairs who i accidently fell into rofl. bellend. Anyway, we were getting the bus to Elephant @ Castle. After around 20 minutes of bus’ing, we got there and found our other bus straight to New Cross. We thought it would be a doddle just like the other bus, but no. It was so crowded they could only open 1 door otherwise people would be knocked over. Couldnt even reach to my pockets let alone my camera lawl. In the end, we got to new cross and found the venue. The sound engineer was longing it out a bit, but sound check went well so we went and got pissed before hand cause we had like 3 hours till we were on. We didn’t even know we were headlining it til we got there haha! Anyway, overall was a good gig, had some good friends and family come to watch and completely killed it. Tomorow we’re off to Birmingham, well, Wallsall. Should be a pretty good gig looking forward to it!
The End.
George
